Hilsa Curry Recipe

The most wanted and awaited fish throughout the whole year for Bongs. This is the simplest ,quickest and easiest recipe which is going on since ages. This one is a signature and old traditional recipe of my grandma. #ICF

Ingredient

Food ration :

hilsa fish

50 ml

milk

As needed

Mustard oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Add turmeric and salt to the fish pieces, rub the spices well.Heat the Mustard oil in a pan. Slowly add in the marinated fish pieces. Fry each side for 2 minutes, till forms a slight crispy layer. Set aside

* Step 2

In the same pan, add black cumin seeds/ kalonji to the leftover mustard oil. Add slit green chilies. Fry till the spices release the aromas. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and stir. Add salt to taste. Add milk and bring it to a boil.

* Step 3

Place the fish piecesback into the curry, stir carefully and cover with a lid, let it cook for a minute.Check the consistency, the gravy shouldn’t be too thick nor too thin.
