Fresh Purple sprouting broccoli and chilli salad

My second experiment with flavours for purple sprouting broccoli was a huge success. I gobbled this salad up, I didn't even want to share it. Quick and easy to make, a great side #salad or #lunch #dinner #healthysnack

Ingredient

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Lightly boil/steam the broccoli in a pan or steamer for a few minutes till al dente. Steaming or boiling will remove its signature purple colour unlike stir-frying but the taste is still sweet and delicate.

* Step 2

Remove from the pan and add a generous knob of butter, sprinkle over sea salt and chilli flakes to taste. I use quite mild chilli flakes so its not to spicy but still warm.

* Step 3

Add a generous few sprigs of fresh parsley torn in and mixed through.

* Step 4

TIP - Squeeze over a little fresh lime if you like, but this is not always necessary and depends on your taste preference for citric flavours. I love anything citric so I added lime to this but keep in mind it can be overpowering in flavour.
