Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Add all-purpose flour and semolina in a mixing bowl. Dry roast kasuri methi on a griddle for 1 minute. Add salt, ghee for moyan, black pepper powder, carrom seeds, roasted kasuri methi and mix well with hands till flour starts binding.

* Step 2

Now knead a medium soft dough by adding water slowly and knead it. Cover it with a wet muslin cloth and Keep aside for 15 minutes.

* Step 3

Now again roll it and knead again till soft. Take a small portion of dough and make a ball. Likewise make all the balls. I made 14 balls with this dough.

* Step 4

Roll the balls like a puri. Apply cooking oil on half portion of puri and then fold it without pressing. Again apply cooking oil on half side of half puri and fold again. It will take a shape of triangle. Press 1 black pepper seeds in centre. Likewise make all the Mathris.

* Step 5

Heat cooking oil in a wok. Place 3-4 mathri in it and fry till golden brown colour. Flip the side and fry from other side also. Likewise fry all the Mathris.

* Step 6

These mathris can be stored for 15 days in airtight container. They are very delicious. Kasuri methi enhance the taste.
