Vegetable Sambar

#Spiceweek6 #mustard #Mustard seeds are good for bones as they are packed with a mineral called selenium, which makes bones stronger. They also help to strengthen nails, hair, and teeth. Mustard seeds contain antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help in relieving pain in the gum, bones, and teeth.

1/2 bowl

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash peel and chop all vegetables.

Boil tamarind Ball in water and keep aside. When cool mash it thorougly and make pulp.

Heat oil in a wok. Add mustard seeds and when mustard seeds splutter add chopped onion and saute for 1 minute.

Add curry leaves and all chopped vegetables and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add Salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder and mix. Add tamarind pulp and cover the lid and cook till vegetables are soft.

Add sambhar masala and mix.

Pressure cook dal with water salt and turmeric powder till 5 whistles. Let pressure releases automatically. Open the lid.

Transfer dal in vegetables wok and mix. Let a boil comes. Switch off the flame.

Serve hot with rice or idli.
