Daal Tadka
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash and Soak both Daals for half an hour in one bowl of water.
* Step 2
Put soaked Daals along with water in the pressure cooker. Add salt and turmeric powder and remaining 2 bowls of water. Pressure cook for 5 minutes after first whistle. Keep aside to release the pressure automatically.
* Step 3
Heat oil in a karahi and put cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions and asafetida. Sauté till onions turned transculent.
* Step 4
Now add chopped tomatoes and saute till oil leaves the karahi.
* Step 5
Serve hot with chapatti or rice.
