Potato Rosti:
These quick and easy potato rosti/fritters are super easy to make at home with simple ingredients. This dish, similar to hash browns.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Peel all potatoes well then shred potatoes on the largest holes of a cheese grater into a large bowl filled with cold water. Stir until water is cloudy; drain and cover potatoes again with fresh cold water. Stir again to dissolve excess starch. Drain potatoes well.
* Step 2
Add 1/2 tsp of salt mix well with fork and marinate for about 15 mins.
After 15 mins squeeze out all water and any excess moisture.
* Step 3
Place them all in large bowl and add black pepper,garlic powder, spring onion and cornflour mix well until all is coated well with cornflour.
* Step 4
Heat oil in the pan. Turn on the stove to low heat and place all 4 egg rings in pan. take 2 tablespoons of potato mixture and place in each ring, press down gently with spoon, fry one side in oil till nice and golden in colour then lift up all the egg rings carefully flip them to cook the other side and fry till golden. drain them on kitchen paper.
Serve with your favourite sauce.
