Date and Apple Slices

Date and Apple Slices

Healthy, sweet treat packed with Fibre. No egg or dairy.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a pan add: Apple Puree, Chopped Dates, Diced Apple (leave the skin on), 1/2 cup water. Simmer until softened.

* Step 2

In a bowl: Add Flax Seeds and 1/4 cup of water to soak until gloopy. If you have a spice grinder, you can whizz up the flax into a fine powder if you prefer or leave them whole.

In a large mixing bowl, weigh out the dry ingredients; Oat Bran, Oat Flour, Rye Flour, Baking Powder, Salt, Xanthan Gum.

* Step 4

When the dates and apple are soft and sticky, add the flax seed mix and reduce a little further.

* Step 5

When the mixture in the pan has cooled, add it to the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl and whisk to blend.

* Step 6

Bake for 20-25 mins on 200c

* Step 7

Allow to cool, cut into slices (will make 8-10 good size bars). Enjoy.
