Foxtail Millet Upma with Coconut Chutney

#ML Millet is a very universal ingredient to cook with and varied dishes of course healthy can br cooked. I made Upma and enjoyed with Coconut Chutney for my Sunday Brunch

Ingredient

Food ration :

2-3 servings

Cooking time :

Preparation time-5 mins, Cooking time-30 mins
1 Tbsp

Chana Dal

1 Tbsp

Urad Dal

2 Tbsp

coconut oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a pan add Foxtail millet and roast for 2-3 mins until light golden in colour, set aside

* Step 2

In another pan add coconut oil, heat and add Chana Dal, Urad Dal, Mustard seeds and Cumin seeds. Stir for 2-3 mins

* Step 3

Add chopped onions and stir for 2-3 mins. Add chopped green chilies and curry leaves.

Add chopped tomatoes and stir for 3-4 mins, add roasted millet and stir for 2-3 mins covered

* Step 5

Add 2 cups hot water and on medium flame mix well and cook covered for 10-12 mins

Add salt and mix well. Add chopped coriander leaves and stir well. Set aside

* Step 7

Serve with Coconut Chutney and enjoy 😊
