Lauki Sabzi

#WM1 Lauki or Bottle Gourd is one of my favourite veggie and I grow Bottle gourd at home. Today I made a typical Lauki dish in Bengali style. Best enjoyed with Dal and Rice

Ingredient

Food ration :

Cooking time :

Preparation TIme-10 mins, Cooking Time-30 mins
1-2 medium sized

potatoes

1/2 tsp

cumin seeds

1/2 cup

water

As Per Taste

Salt

As Per Required

Ghee

As Per Required

Mustard oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash and peel the Lauki or Bottle Gourd and cut into small cubes. Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes.

* Step 2

In a wok heat oil and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, and whole red chili. Add potatoes and fry for 2 mins, add Lauki and fry for 3-4 mins

* Step 3

Add ginger paste, red chili powder, and turmeric powder and mix well. Stir for 2-3 mins, add water, and salt and mix well.

* Step 4

Cover to cook, add whole green chilies and stir once.

* Step 5

Add ghee, and garam masala powder and set aside.

* Step 6

Garnish with grated coconut and serve with Dal and Rice.
