Poached Pears in Red Wine is a classic dessert meant to be enjoyed specially during Christmas and New Year festivity. I love this dessert a lot and would vouch for the best dessert

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash the pears and peel, keeping the stem intact. Cut the bottom slightly to lay the pears straight for plating
* Step 2
In a bowl add the wine, sugar, cinnamon stick, star anise and bring it to simmer.
* Step 3
When it boils add the pears and simmer for 30 mins. Set aside
* Step 4
Cool completely to room temperature. Refrigerate for 3 hours
* Step 5
Plate and enjoy a classic dessert
