Ground Pork Chow Mein

Ground Pork Chow Mein

This is not an authentic chow mein recipe but one created close to traditional recipes. My recipes are geared to please my family and our tastes. This is another spicy version but you may omit the spice or tone it down. Either way, I hope you'll enjoy it too.

Ingredient

Food ration :

4 servings

Cooking time :

30 minutes
1 can

baby corn

1 pound

ground pork

1 tablespoon

garlic ginger paste

1 tablespoon

sesame oil

1/2 cup

soy sauce

1/2 tablespoon

red pepper flakes

1/2 teaspoon

salt and pepper

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a large skillet over medium heat brown your ground pork. Add salt, pepper and pepper flakes while it cooks.

Once meat has no pink color left, add in garlic, ginger paste.

Add your jar of sprouts with liquid, can of baby corn and broccoli. Cook four minutes.

* Step 4

Add in all other ingredients except for scallions. They are added in last few minutes of cooking.

* Step 5

Cook your chow mein noodles as per package instructions. They only need 4 minutes to cook.

* Step 6

While noodles cook add in scallions. Stir all ingredients as they cook.

* Step 7

Once you drain noodles, add in pork mixture. Stir to coat all the noodles. Let sit about 5 minutes until noodles absorb any excess liquid. Serve hot!
