Muhammara Walnut Shakshuka

#walnuttwists Shakshuka is my most favourite Sunday brunch and when Muhammara with Walnut is added the brunch is best. Walnut is so universal that it can be used in any cuisine. So in Muhammara today

Ingredient

Food ration :

2 people

Cooking time :

Preparation time-5 mins, Cooking time-25 mins
1 cup

walnuts

1 Tbsp

breadcrumbs

1/2 tsp

cayenne

2 Tbsp

olive oil

1/4 cup

tomato paste

1/2 tsp

paprika

As required

Coriander leaves

as per taste

Salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

For Muhammara- roast the red bell peppers, cool and deseed. In a blender add red bell peppers, breadcrumbs, cayenne, walnuts and garlic minced. Run the blender smooth. Set aside

* Step 2

In a pan heat olive oil, add chopped onions and on low flame cook until softened.

* Step 3

Add cumin seeds, paprika, red chilli powder, chilli flakes. Stir tomato paste and cook for 1-2 mins.

* Step 4

Add chopped tomatoes and add salt and pepper. Stir. Add Muhammara sauce until well mixed

* Step 5

With back of spoon make dents and gently break eggs one at a time. Cover and cook on low flame until egg whites are set. Or how much of firm white you would like.

* Step 6

Garnish with coriander leaves.

* Step 7

Cut a section and plate and enjoy
