The Indian red fudge

Holi time !!! Lal rang is perhaps the most commonly used colour to share the spirit of togetherness in Holi festival with love and joy. Here is my Indian fusion for a fudge. The irresistible beetroot and a holi must - black carrots. #weekred

Ingredient

Food ration :

2 cups

Milk

5 tbsp

Milkmaid

1 tbsp

Sugar

1/2 cup

Mawa

2 tbsp

Ghee

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a heavy bottomed pan add one tbsp ghee and add grated carrots and beetroot.Mix and cover to cook on low flame.Within ten mins they will get cooked.

* Step 2

Add in milk and cook. Stir till all the milk gets evaporated on medium flame.

Add in mava, milk made, sugar and cardamom powder. Keep cooking till all the ingredients are well combined. Now add leftover one tpsp ghee and you will see that by now milk is nicely soaked by carrots and it leaves its side.

Relish with nuts of your choice serve hot or cold. Do give it a try, it is a must in this festival time.Different from the usual ones
