A simple kheer recipe that mom used to prepare on special occasions when we were kids. We siblings used to wait for the moment when we would get to taste the kheer. So yummy and delicious was the taste , that it's impossible to recreate the same.
But as I have been always in the kitchen around my mom, I have learned it from her and try to get as close as possible.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Heat ghee in a pan. Roast the vermicelli till nice golden color.
Also roast the dry nuts at the same time.
* Step 3
In the same pan, heat milk till it boils.
Once it boils, add the roasted vermicelli and keep stirring.
* Step 4
Add sugar and keep stirring till the kheer thickens a little bit
* Step 5
Do not make this kheer very thick.
* Step 6
Add dry fruits and serve with hot puris.
* Step 7
For the puris,
Sieve flour and salt together
Add water little at a time and knead a medium soft dough. Little tighter than chapati dough.
Let it rest for 10 minutes.
* Step 8
Not divide the dough into equal size balls.
Roll out one dough ball into a chapati at a time.
Using an cookie cutter (I used a star shape cutter as my kids love them)
or glass edge, cut out puris and fry them in hot oil from both the sides.
* Step 9
Enjoy hot puris with hot kheer.
Or keep kheer in the refrigerator and serve cold as a dessert.
