Ingredient

1 cup

urad dal

to taste

Salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash and soak urad dal for 3,4hours. Grind to fine paste.

* Step 2

Take rava tie potli in a cotton cloth and steam it for 30min.

* Step 3

Cool the steamed rava and mix both uraddal paste and rava by using hands for 2,3min. cover with lid and ferment for 6, 8hours or overnight.

* Step 4

Add salt to fermented batter and enough water to make idli batter consistency,pour in greased idli mould and steam for 10,12min.

* Step 5

Serve with chutney.
