(Tamrind) saaru

#GA4 #week1 Saaru is type of rasam or soup. This is best with huggi(khichadi)or with steamed rice,ghee and methkoot(mentehittu).

Ingredient

4 spoon

jagarry

1/2 spoon

mustard seeds

1/2 spoon

cumin seeds

2 spoon

besan

1/2 spoon

goda masala

to taste

Salt

2 spoon

ghee

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soak tamrind for 20min. Squize the pulp.

* Step 2

Heat ghee add musterd,cumin,red chilli,curry leaves,hing, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coconut powder then add pulp mix it well.

* Step 4

Add 3cups of water and make besan slurry add this to the saaru add jagarry and salt bring it to boil. Adjust the taste. Serve with huggi or steamed rice with methkoot and ghee.
