Fried Banana & Toasted Coconut-Topped Porridge

🍌🥥🍌🥥🍌🥥🍌🥥🍌🥥🍌🥥🍌🥥🍌 A sweet, comforting porridge. I found a very popular Mexican dessert of bananas fried in butter, smothered in condensed milk and I craved it on my breakfast porridge. It has evolved from there. #springclean #mysterybox #sweet #porridge

1/3 cup

water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Begin by toasting the coconut in a dry frying pan. Tip onto a small dish and clean the pan with kitchen paper. Set aside.

* Step 2

In a saucepan, combine the oats, milk, water and pinch of salt. Bring slowly to the boil, stirring all the time. Once it is thickened, pour into a serving bowl.

* Step 3

Put the frying pan back on the heat and melt the butter until it begins to brown.

* Step 4

Add the banana and sprinkle with cinnamon. Cook on both sides until browned, but not mushy.

* Step 5

Pour the condensed milk onto the porridge, Place the bananas over the top and finally sprinkle over the toasted coconut.

* Step 6
