Poh Choy Tofu

Poh Choy Tofu

Home made beancurd mixed with Chinese spinnach and topped with mushroom sauce.

Ingredient

Food ration :

4 servings

Cooking time :

1/2 tsp

salt

1 tbsp

soy sauce

1 tsp

sugar

3 cloves

chopped garlic

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cut poh choy into small pieces and make it dry.

* Step 2

Beat 6 eggs and add 500ml sugarless soy milk. Add 1/2 tsp salt.

Place a piece of baking paper onto a steaming tray. Spread the vege all over the tray.

Pour the egg mixture into the tray. Cover the tray with aluminum foil. Steam the egg for 30 mins in med heat.

* Step 5

Cool down the tofu egg and transfer into a flat plate. Cut the tofu into smaller square pieces.

Deep fry the tofu in low heat oil for 2 mins on both sides. Fry the bottom first.

Place the fried tofu on a serving plate.

Stir fry the garlic, mushroom and add in seasoning. Add 1 cup of water and braised for 3 mins. Add cornstarch solution to thicken sauce. Pour the sauce on top of tofu and ready to serve.
