Rice Pudding

Rice Pudding

Can be used to make 8-9 Belgian pies

Ingredient

2 cups

rice

1 teaspoon

salt

4 cups

water

12 cups

whole milk

1 1/4 cup

sugar

1 tbsp

cornstarch

2 tablespoons

butter

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cook the rice, salt, water as usual for rice. After bringing to boil turn down and simmer 20 minutes or until water is completely absorbed.

* Step 2

Warm 8 cups of milk in microwave until warm.

* Step 3

Blend egg yolks in blender with some of the cold milk.

* Step 4

Stir together sugar and cornstarch. Add to the warmed milk. Add butter and vanilla.

* Step 5

Add about 2 cups of the hot milk into blender which has the egg yolk. Add the milk so only a small pencil stream flows into the blender with the blender running. Then add the warmed yolk and milk mixture, slowly pencil stream, into the pudding Kettle, stirring constantly. Cook till thickens somewhat.
