Tokoroten 心太 Japanese Agar Jelly Noodle
In summer we often eat Tokoroten. I don’t know exactly Tokoroten is side dish of the meal, teatime snack…….. In west side of Japan it is eaten with brown sugar syrup. Agar jelly is almost 0 calorie so my daughter eats much of Tokoroten before meals for dieting.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Put agar powder in water and soak for a while. Bring to boil and keep boiling for 2 minutes. Put in box and cool.
* Step 2
Cut agar jelly into noodle shapes. I used Tokoroten pusher.
* Step 5
Garnish with green onion and sesame seeds. Eat with chopsticks or one chopstick.
