Rice payassam (kheer)

Rice payassam (kheer)

Ingredient

Food ration :

2 persons
1 litre

Milk

1 cup (as per taste)

Sugar

1 tsp

Raisins

1 tsp

Pistachio

Few strands

Saffron

1 tbsp

Sliced nuts

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a thick bottom base pan boil milk and put soaked rice.

* Step 2

Stir well and cook till rice is done.

* Step 3

Add sugar and stir well. Put cardamom powder, raisins, pistachio, almonds and saffron.

* Step 4

Mix it and stir continuously till milk thickens.

* Step 5

When done put and a serving bowl and garnish with sliced nuts.

* Step 6

Serve hot or chilled as per your choice.
