Indo Chinese Shrimp Fried Rice

#Nov #W2 Shrimp fried rice is a dish of cooked rice that is stir-fried with fresh shrimps and assorted vegetables and flavoured with savoury Asian sauces and seasonings . It is a quick one pot meal that can be prepared within few minutes . Here fresh tiny shrimps are lightly fried and mixed with stir fried vegetables and cold rice.Smaller shrimps integrate better with rice and can be relished in every bite.It is often eaten by itself or as an accompaniment to other dishes.It is the best stir fry recipe and healthy as well.

shrimps

1/2 cup

beans

7-8 cloves

garlic minced

1/2 tsp

garlic paste

1 tbsp

soy sauce

as required

To taste salt

3 tbsp

oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat water in a pot and boil 1.5 cups rice in it.Boil till 80% cooked.Remove from heat and strain water.Spread rice in a broad bowl or a plate and set aside to cool. Heat 2 tsp oil in a wok.Smear salt,black pepper and pinch of turmeric in the cleaned and deveined shrimps and fry lightly.Set aside.

Heat 1 tbsp oil in the wok.Fry chopped cauliflower till light brown. Add 2 tbsp more oil and saute minced garlic and grated ginger. Add chopped onion.Saute and add chopped beans and carrots. Sprinkle salt and garlic paste.Stir fry and add chopped capsicum and thawed frozen peas.Add shrimps,soy sauce, chilli sauce, black pepper powder,ajinomoto and toss.

* Step 3

Add the sautéed cauliflower,cooked and cooled rice.Stir-fry everything till well combined.

This Indo Chinese Shrimp Fried Rice is ready within 20 minutes and protein rich and nutritious. It is the best tasting healthy stir-fried recipe for dinner. Serve hot as it is or with an accompaniment of choice.
