Thai Chicken Meatballs

#cppassport #cppthailand #toc1 #week1 Thai Chicken Meatballs are bursting with flavours of mixed herbs,sweet chilli sauce,cheese, cilantro,onion,ginger and garlic.All flavors can be adjusted to suit personal taste and choice.It is a great protein rich snack and takes hardly 30 minutes to make. It can be served as an evening snack to kids and adults as well and as an appetizer or as a side dish with Thai noodles or fried rice at weekend dinner.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Make a paste of chicken mince in a grinder.Add finely chopped onion,minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper powder,mixed herbs,finely chopped lemon grass,chopped cilantro,soya sauce,sweet chilli sauce,salt to taste,breadcrumbs,baking powder,1 egg,1 tbsp cornflour,chopped green and red chillies,grated cheese cube,2 tsp oil and mix all well and form into a dough.

* Step 2

Roll into balls.Steam these balls in a steamer for 10 minutes.If made in large quantities, these balls can be stored for 3 to 4 weeks at this point in a ziplock bag and kept in the freezer.Use as and when needed.

* Step 3

After steaming, the balls will increase in size. Heat oil and fry these balls till golden brown.Serve as an appetizer or as a side dish with Thai noodles or fried rice alongwith Sweet Chilli Sauce or Hot and Sweet Tomato sauce.
