Chicken with Coriander, Coconut and Kasoori Methi

This is a flavourful North Indian style chicken curry with coconut, coriander and kasoori methi.Serve this aromatic chicken curry with roti,naan or jeera rice.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Marinate chicken with salt,ginger garlic paste,1 tbsp mustard oil and tomato puree for an hour.Meanwhile slice onion finely and fry crispy brown in 1/2 cup oil.Set aside.Remove excess oil.In 1 tbsp oil fry chicken golden brown.Make a paste of coconut.Soak poppy seeds with hot water for half hour.Then make a paste of it with cream,curd, green chillies and chopped coriander.
* Step 2
Add 1 tsp ghee to the remaining oil and sprinkle half crushed whole garam masala.When they crackle,add the ground masala paste and coconut paste.Add turmeric, red chilli powder,kasoori methi,salt and pinch of sugar to taste.Add the fried chicken pieces and toss till oil leaves sides.Add a cup of water and cook on low flame till done.Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with crispy fried onion and chopped coriander.Serve with any Indian flat bread or pulao.
