Sada aloo r tarkari or plain potato curry is a delicious curry which can be paired very well with Luchi/puri( Bengali style Indian puffed bread).A delicious combo which makes for a hearty breakfast on a Sunday morning.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Peel and cube potatoes.Steam or boil them till just soft.Strain water.Heat mustard oil and sprinkle paanch phoron which consists of a mix of kalonji(nigella),methi,saunf(fennel),radhuni (celery seeds),jeera.When the splutter add 1 broken dry red chilli and hing. Add the parboiled potatoes,salt and sugar to taste and toss.Fry for sometime.Then add the strained water and cook till moisture dries up.Add broken green and red chillies and serve hot with phulkas or Bengali style luchi or puffed puri.
