Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Place your cast iron skillet in the oven and preheat oven to 450°F. Let pre-made pizza dough come to room temperature. Work dough into a circle that is about 2 inches larger than your skillet. 1” larger around the edges. I used my 9” cast iron skillet which is a perfect size for 1-2 people. So my dough was 11” in diameter.
* Step 2
When oven reaches temperature remove from oven. Add 1-2 Tbsp of a garlic infused olive oil and coat the bottom and sides. Now carefully (skillet is very hot) add the pizza dough to the skillet and form a crust along the edge. Crust will start to brown up.
* Step 3
Add pizza sauce and spread around. Sprinkle some Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes on top of the sauce. Next add the cheese and then add your toppings.
* Step 4
Place in oven for about 10 minutes. The cheese and sauce should be bubbling. If you want to crisp up the pepperoni you can turn on the broiler. Remove pizza and plate. Slice pizza and serve. Enjoy.
