"Cheetos" Leftover Mac 'n' Cheese Lava Bombs

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Line a baking dish or muffin pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil and/or spray lightly with nonstick spray. Scoop the macaroni into the dish or cups. Gently press a dent into the middle of each cup & place a cheese cube into each one. Cover top with additional macaroni & cheese. Refrigerate or Freeze until solidified, at least 3 hours or overnight.

When ready, place the flour & seasonings into a small bowl, beat the eggs in another bowl, & pour the cheetos and/or breadcrumbs into a third bowl. Crush the cheetos up with your favorite kitchen tool or use the bottom of a glass! 😉

Set your air fryer to about 360°. Dip the macaroni & cheese lava bombs first into the flour, then the egg, & finally the cheetos or breadcrumbs. Place into the air fryer for 20-30 minutes or until desired crispness is reached.

* Step 4

If deep frying, heat oil in fryer or pan. Dip the macaroni & cheese lava bombs first into the flour, then the egg, & finally the cheetos or breadcrumbs. Deep fry until desired crispness is reached. (keep your oil temperature on medium, 🙄 as mine was too high and they came out a little dark.😒🤦🏻‍♀️😆)

I air fried some & deep fried some. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wanted to see what was better....🤔 I'm still undecided! 🤦🏻‍♀️😆👌 The air fryer ones were definitely better on the eyes! 🤣👍 Though both were cheesy & delicious!!!
