“Soto Ayam” which reminds me of childhood days in Jakarta🇮🇩
I used to live in Jakarta, Indonesia during my childhood. When I visited my Indonesian friend’s house, her mother cooked us a very delicious and comforting Soto Ayam. Since then, Soto Ayam has been my most favorite Indonesian dish.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Prepare ingredients. Slice lime, slice onion, cut tomato, wash bean sprouts and wash coriander.
* Step 3
Spread some oil in a frying pan and start grilling the chicken over the medium heat(put the chicken skin down).
* Step 4
Put the aluminum foil on it, cover with a lid and grill the chicken for 5 mins until the skin becomes golden brown.
* Step 5
Add water and all the ingredients for soup. Cook over low heat. You can add a slice of lime in this step too!
* Step 6
Prepare another pan, place some oil and stir fry onions. When the onion becomes transparent, add seasonings for onions. Add bean sprouts too.
* Step 7
The chicken should be cooked by now so take it out from the pan and chop into small pieces(you can shred it by hands too).
* Step 8
Put onions and bean sprouts in the soup and simmer for about 10 mins. Put the chicken back into the soup.
* Step 9
Adjust to your taste with salt and pepper, add slices of tomato and simmer for a minute. Add toppings and ready to serve!!
* Step 10
My family really loves this soup! If you have chance to try my recipe, please share your cooksnap!❤︎
