Suran ki chutney(ole/jimmikand/yum)

Ingredient

cumin seeds

1 tbsp

carom seeds

1 tbsp

asafoetida

1 tbsp

lemon juice

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Now peel the skin, and grease your hands with some mustard oil before chopping ole else you may feel itchy. slice off the blackish layer on top and make small chunks.

* Step 2

Take small pieces out on a plate after washing for cooking. place these chunks in a pressure cooker and add some amount of water as well. close the lid and cook until two whistles.

* Step 3

Take one chunk and press gently to check. it has turned soft so take out the chunks from the water in a bowl. take ole in a bowl and mash them. finally with the help of masher.

* Step 4

In a pan add oil, add cumin seeds, add carom seeds, add asafoetida, add ginger paste, add garlic paste, add green chili paste cook for 5 min.on medium flame and add mash ole now mix it again. now add salt, add red chili powder, add turmeric powder, add mango powder, add lemon juice mix it well, and cook for 10 min. On low flame. now ole chutney is ready.
