Aromatic Mulled Wine

Aromatic Mulled Wine

Perfect drink for those lazy week ends when it's snowing outside. It could as well cure a sore throat :D

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Pour wine in a medium sized pot over medium low heat

* Step 2

Juice and zest orange or clementines and add to the pot as well as cinnamon, vanilla, cloves, dried cherries, nutmeg, ginger and star anis

* Step 3

Bring mixture to a very gentle boil and simmer for about 15 minutes then take off heat. At this point you could add a few tablespoons water if flavors are too strong

* Step 4

Add tea bags, sweetener and rum. Leave a few minutes to infuse then strain mixture discarding solids (but keep rehidrated cherries). Serve immediately
