Sweet Potato Souffle

Sweet Potato Souffle

This is a family recipe that has been passed down.

Ingredient

Food ration :

6 servings
1/4 cup

brown sugar

1/2 cup

sugar

1/4 tsp

allspice

1 tsp

cinnamon

2 tsp

vanilla

1/2 bag

marshmallows

1/2 stick

butter

1/4 tsp.

salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash sweet potatoes and boil until tender in their jackets.

* Step 2

Remove peelings and mash thoroughly.

* Step 3

Mix butter in with potatoes

* Step 4

Separate 2 eggs and beat egg whites until stiff.

* Step 5

Mix egg yolks in with mashed potatoes.

* Step 6

Add in the following ingredients to the potatoes and mix thoroughly: brown sugar, sugar, allspice, cinnamon, vanilla and salt.

* Step 7

Fold in stiff egg whites to mixture and mix thoroughly.

* Step 8

Pour potato mixture into baking dish and top with marshmallows.

* Step 9

Bake at 350°F until marshmallows are brown.
