Cooking instructions
* Step 1
For making parathas : Mix all the ingredients for methi Paratha in a bowl and then mix water in it slowly and knead it to make a smooth dough.
* Step 2
Cover it and keep it aside for 15minutes then make triangle or round shape Paratha and then make it in tawa. When one side cooked then flip the other side and brush oil on both the sides. When both the sides become golden brown in colour then your paratha is ready.
* Step 3
For making methi malai matar : Heat a pan with oil and then add cumin seeds in it. When they crackle then add the chopped garlic and ginger in it.
* Step 4
When the raw smell of garlic has gone then add the chopped onion along with the cashew nuts and green chilli and atlast the poppy seeds in it. Fry them till they become golden in colour and then switch off the flame.
* Step 5
Allow it to cool completely and then grind it to make a smooth paste and keep it aside.
* Step 6
Heat the same pan and put oil in it and then add the butter in it.
* Step 7
Add the cumin seeds and when they crackle then add the masala paste in it. Mix it.
* Step 8
Mix the milk with water and add in it.
* Step 9
Then add the chopped methi leaves along with the green peas along with salt in it.
* Step 10
Cover it allow it to cook for 10 minutes.
* Step 11
If it is too dry then add another 1/2 cup of water in it and mix it well.
* Step 12
Then add the fresh cream and sugar in it along with the garam masala powder.
* Step 13
Again cook it for 5 minutes and then switch off the flame.
* Step 14
Now your methi malai matar is ready. Add chopped coriander leaves in it.
* Step 15
Serve hot with methi paratha.
