#morningbreakfast This is another traditional breakfast recipe of Odisha. We people love to eat this pitha with our traditional dalma or milk in the morning. This pitha is generally made in a kadai ..so the name is Kadai pitha.

Ingredient

Food ration :

2 servings

Cooking time :

10 minutes
1 cup

urad dal

2 cup

rice

2-3 tsp

mustard oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soak the urad dal and rice separately and then grind them also separately.

* Step 2

Then mix the urad dal paste with your hand and then mix the rice paste and salt in it. Mix them well and cover it for 1 hour.

* Step 3

If you add chopped coconut then mix it in this batter also.

* Step 4

Heat a kadai and put oil in it.

* Step 5

Then pour 3-4 ladle of batter but don't spread it like dosas and the batter must be thick also.

* Step 6

Cover it with s lid and when cooked in one side then flip it to the other side which takes 8-10 minutes for cooking.

* Step 7

When both sides are cooked completely then switch off the flame and serve it with milk or any type of curry.
