Matar paneer biryani

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soak rice for at least 20min. Drain the water and set aside. Take a big pan or handi, add 1tbsp oil and large amount of water. With dry spices like bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon,, shahi jeera and light salt. Saute for 10sec. Wait for boiling, after boiling add soaked rice and cooked 70%.not overcooked.

Heat a oil in a pan, add paneer and fry until brown colour. Make a paste from onion ginger and garlic.

Add oil to a pan or handi and heat it. Add sliced onion, fry them starring often until the onion turn golden. Next add onion ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell has gone off. Add red chiili powder and coriander powder and salt, mix it well. Add boiled green peas and paneer and fry for about 5min.

* Step 4

Spread the rice it in a layer evenly over the veggies. Add food colour, kewda water and ghee. Cook covered from low flame until the rice and veggies are cooked fully and colour is appear. Turn off the flame.

Serve veg matar paneer biryani with onion salad and raita.
