Angela's Apple Crisp
So I loved my mom's apple crisp when I was a kid and really like the apple pie filling in my sister's apple pie (listed in my recipes) and thought I'd combine the two. If you don't want to mess with peeling and cutting apples, just replace all the filling instructions with canned apple filling and just do the topping.
Ingredient
Food ration :
4 -6 people
Cooking time :
45-50 mins
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Preheat oven at 425°F. And grease an 8x8 baking pan. (There is enough topping to do 2 of these or a 9x13, but more apples will have to be cut and peeled to accommodate it.)
* Step 2
Fix apple filling part except for butter and put mixed filling in 8x8 dish. Dot with butter and put in oven to bake for 15 minutes (As the pie instructions say.) *If using canned filling, skip this part and prepare topping.
* Step 3
While apples bake, mix topping. I had to use a bit more butter. I used my clean hand to mix and sprinkled on to apples when they finished pre-baking.
* Step 4
Reduce oven temp to 350°F. And bake for 30 minutes.
* Step 5
Let cool and enjoy. I love ice cream with this.
