Country Fried Cinnamon Apples

Delicious for a side dish or dessert!

Ingredient

butter

1/4 cup

brown sugar

1/2 Tbsp.

cinnamon

1/4 tsp.

nutmeg

1 Tbsp.

cornstarch

1 1/2 Tbsp.

water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Core and slice apples into wedges.

Melt butter in large pot.

Once melted stir in brown sugar until dissolved.

Add apple slices and stir to coat. Cook on medium for 2 minutes.

Add in spices and stir to coat.

Reduce heat to medium low and simmer with lid on for 15 minutes stirring occasionally.

Once softened turn off heat and set aside. In a small bowl combine cornstarch with water.

Add cornstarch slurry to the apples and stir. This will cause the sauce to thicken significantly.

Serve warm. Enjoy!
