Cinnamon rolls

Cinnamon rolls

Ingredient

450 g

flour

1/2 tsp

salt

50 g

butter

6 g

yeast

270 ml

warm milk

1

egg

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Sift flour and salt together.

* Step 2

Add in half of the butter and mix well until it resembles sand like texture.

* Step 3

Add the yeast and mix well.

* Step 4

In another bowl add 256ml milk and egg and mix well.

* Step 5

Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and knead until soft and elastic.

* Step 6

Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1hour.

* Step 7

Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead lightly until smooth.

* Step 8

Roll out the dough into a 30x23cm(12x9inch) rectangle

* Step 9

Melt the remaining butter and brush over the dough.

* Step 10

Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon evenly and roll up loosely, lengthways.

* Step 11

Using a sharp knife cut 9 rounds and place on a greased or lined baking tray with parchment paper.

* Step 12

Cover and let it rise for 1 hour or until double in size

* Step 13

Brush the buns with the remaining milk.

* Step 14

Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for about 30 mins.

* Step 15

For the icing i used icing sugar mix with a little bit of water and then drizzle it on top of the buns.

* Step 16
