Strawberry Stuffed Baked Samosa with Chocolate Ganache

#ws4 Samosa is one of the most popular snack around our sub continent. I wanted to give a totally new touch to this favourite snack and make them sweet with strawberry and chocolate. So here is my special sweet samosa baked samosas filled with a special mixture of strawberries . And topped with some chocolate ganache and strawberry sauce.

Ingredient

Food ration :

10 samosas

Cooking time :

30 min
1 tablespoon

Powdered Sugar

2 tablespoon

cold butter

1 pinch

Salt

as required

Juice of an Orange

3 tablespoon

Sugar

2 tablespoon

grated Paneer

1/4 teaspoon

Chilli flakes

1/4 cup

powder Sugar

1 teaspoon

Cornflour

2 tablespoon

Strawberry jam

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mix 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar, a pinch of salt to 2 tablespoon of cold butter.Make a crumbly mixture.

With the help of cold water, make a semi hard dough.

Cover and rest the dough for 1/2 an hour.

* Step 4

For the stuffing cut 1 cup of fresh strawberries into small pieces.

* Step 5

Cook them in juice of an orange and a dash of salt until the mixture becomes mashy.

* Step 6

Also add in 2 tablespoon of grated paneer, sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of chilli flakes.Mix well.

* Step 7

Delicious stuffing is ready. Let the mixture cool completely.

Take out the samosa dough, make some equal medium sized balls of dough.

Roll each ball to oblong shape disks.Cut each disk into half.

Take one part and make a cone.

Stuff some cold strawberry stuffing to each cone and seal to give them samosa shape.

Place all the samosas to a lined baking tray.

Bake them in preheated oven for 15 minutes in 220 degree C.

The samosas should be light golden brown and crisp.

When the samosas cool down completely, dust some icing sugar.

Drizzle chocolate ganache and strawberry sauce.

For chocolate ganache heat 1/2 cup of milk and add in 1/4 cup of unsalted butter and mix well until butter melts completely.

* Step 18

Then add in 1/4 cup of dark cocoa powder, 1/4 cup of powder sugar and 1 teaspoon of cornflour. Stir well to combine.

* Step 19

Chocolate ganache is ready.

For strawberry sauce, I just melted 2 tablespoon of strawberry jam with 1 tablespoon of water.
