Orange flavoured Chocolate Idli

#bfday4 Chocolate Idli is a very easy and quick to prepare sweet dish. It is an idli shaped recipe that we prepare from All-purpose flour , rava and some cocoa powder.I made this healthy dish with little twist by adding fresh orange juice to my idlis. They came out very delicious. Also served those idli with a simple chocolate sauce. I am sure your kids are going to love this healthy sweet dish.

Ingredient

dark Cocoa Powder

2 tablespoon

Cooking Oil

1/2 cup

Buttermilk

1/4 cup

Sugar

2 tablespoon

Milk

1 pinch

Baking Soda

1 pinch

Salt

2 tablespoon

Icing sugar

1 tablespoon

dark Cocoa powder

1 tablespoon

Orange juice

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take buttermilk, sugar in a bowl and whisk till creamy and sugar is melted.

Now add in oil and whisk well.

Add in sooji, 1 pinch of salt and mix well. Set aside for 30 mins.

After resting time, add in fresh orange juice and mix well.

Sieve together maida, cocoa powder,baking powder and baking soda.

Fold in Maida mixrure to the wet mixture.

Add in 2 tablespoon of milk or as required to adjust the consistency of the batter.

The batter should be thick like regular idli batter.

Now spoon this in a well greased idli plate and steam for 8-10 mins.

Now remove and let it cool for a min.Use a knife to transfer to dish.

They came out very soft and fluffy.

Make a chocolate syrup by mixing icing sugar cocoa powder and orange juice.

Serve this delicious and healthy chocolate idli with chocolate sauce.
