Chocolate churros

#Chocolate Recipes Churros are a kind of fried dough pastry, a traditional snack of Spain and Portugal. Churros are equally popular in France and USA and some other European countries. They are very crunchy pastry generally enjoyed with hot chocolate. I made chocolate churos where I dipped the churos in chocolate ganache.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a saucepan heat 1 cup water.

* Step 2

Add butter, sugar and salt.

* Step 3

Mix and cook till butter and sugar dissolves completely.

* Step 4

Switch off the flame and add a cup of all purpose flour.

* Step 5

Mix well to form a soft dough.

* Step 6

Add 2 beaten eggs.

* Step 7

Mix well to incorporate eggs nicely to the mixture.

* Step 8

It will form a soft dough. Keep aside to cool.

* Step 9

Transfer the dough into a cookie maker, with star nozzle.

* Step 10

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai to deep fry.

* Step 11

Now squeeze dough to medium heat oil to make churo shapes.

* Step 12

Cook in medium low heat, stirring occasionally till light golden brown.

* Step 13

When all churos are fried, make chocolate ganache.

* Step 14

In a saucepan heat butter, heavy cream and grated chocolate.

* Step 15

Add sugar and cocoa powder and mix well.

* Step 16

When all the ingredients incorporate nicely and the sauce becomes shiny, remove from heat.

* Step 17

Transfer in a cup.

* Step 18

Take the prepared churos an dip them one by one to cover ganache half of the churo stick.

* Step 19

Keep them in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes to set the ganache.

* Step 20

Arrange in a serving dish, dust icing sugar and serve with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate ganache.
