Coconut cookies

#Family_reunion_recipe Homemade cookies are always very favorite to my family and friends. So I often make different types of cookies. This coconut cookies are very flavorful, cruncy from outside and soft from inside.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a mixing bowl add icing sugar and soft butter. Mix with a whisker to a creamy texture.

* Step 2

Sieve together flour and baking powder.

* Step 3

Add desiccated coconut to the flour.

* Step 4

Now add this flour and coconut mixture to the butter mixture.

* Step 5

Mix well with your finger tips to well incorporate.

* Step 6

Make a soft dough by gradually adding milk. Use your fingers lightly to make the dough.

* Step 7

Cover and keep the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

* Step 8

Preheat oven at 150 degree Centigrade for 10 minutes.

* Step 9

After 30 minutes take out the dough and divide the dough into 14-16 equal parts.

* Step 10

Roll each portion with your hands to make a smooth ball. Flatten them slightly.

* Step 11

Roll the top side of the ball to desiccated coconut and arrange them in a baking tray. Place them at little distance.

* Step 12

Bake them at 150 degree Centigrade for about 25 minutes or till light golden crust form in the top.

* Step 13

Remove from oven and transfer the cookies immediately to a wired rack to cool.

* Step 14

Allow the cookies completely and keep in a air tight container.

* Step 15

You can store them for 8 to 10 days.

* Step 16

Note: Mix the ingredients very gently to form the dough. Use everything at room temperature.
