Besan Ladoo

#boxweek9 #besanladoo Besan Ladoo is delicious & aromatic sweet delights from Indian cuisine. These are sweet balls made of besan, ghee, sugar, cardamom & nuts. These ladoos have melted in mouth texture and nutty flavor from besan. Besan Ladoos are made by roasting besan with ghee, cooled completely, and mixed with powdered sugar and nuts that is then shaped into balls. These ladoos are usually made for festivals and for special occasions.

Ingredient

Food ration :

16 ladoo

Cooking time :

45 minutes
2 cups

Besan

3/4 cup

ghee

2 tbsp

water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a pan place sieve and put 2 cups besan. Sieve to remove any lumps.

Add ghee and mix well so that there is no dry besan. (without switching on the flame)

Switch on the flame and roast besan on low to medium flame stirring continuously. For approximately 20-30 minutes until aromatic and color changes.

Sprinkle 1 tbsp water and stir. After some time add another tbsp of water and stir. This is done to make a crumbly texture.

When the flour is roasted well and aromatic, switch off the flame and immediately transfer to another bowl. Allow it to cool down completely.

Meanwhile, roast chopped cashews and almonds in ghee. Add roasted nuts to the besan mixture. Once the mixture is completely cooled, sieve sugar powder into the besan mixture.

Mix very well to combine the sugar. Take small portions of the mixture and press down with your palm to make a ladoo. Place 1 sliced almond in the center of each ladoo. Roll on your palm to give glossy look. (If the mixture is too soggy and not holding shape, leave it for 15 mins and then shape the ladoo.)

Besan Ladoo is ready to be served.

Store them in an airtight container and relish them up to 2 weeks. Well it will be finished in 2 days.
