Rustic Saag Paneer

Not an attempt at a “real” saag paneer but has paneer, spinach and spices so I’ll run with the naming. Serve with rice and naan or as I did here, cauliflower rice

Ingredient

1 tsp

turmeric

1 tbsp

canola oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat the oil in a pan and quickly fry the turmeric and chili powder

Then add the cubed paneer and fry on a medium high heat for 3 minutes, then set aside.

* Step 3

Now add the sliced onion and the puréed garlic and ginger to the same pan, and cook down for a few minutes until softened, then add passata.

* Step 4

Add the spinach, cook for a few more minutes and lastly reintroduce the paneer you set aside earlier. Sprinkle with garam masala, stir, then serve after a few minutes.
