Tahini

#cookeverypart #cookpadindia Tahini is a Middle Eastern condiment, prepared with (Hulled) White Sesame seeds and is used in Hummus, Muttabal and Halva or eaten by itself as dip with Falefel and kibbeh. Tahini is a good source of carbohydrates, fats, protein, vitamins and minerals.

approx. 1/4 cup

5+5 minutes

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Dry roast the sesame seeds in a pan, it will hardly take even 2-3 mins, be careful don't over brown it...take it out in a plate and let it cool a bit. Then in a mixer grinder jar, grind the sesame seeds first till it forms a crumbly paste and then add 1 tbsps oil and grind/blend again until mixture forms a thick and smooth paste,

* Step 2

If you want more thinner consistency add 1-2 tbsps more oil, scrap the side as required and your fresh tahini is ready.

* Step 3

Have it with Falafel or kibbeh or put in in your pita wrap or in Hummus and Muttabal. Put it in an airtight container and keep it in fridge for longer self life.
