Latte ko Saag /Chaulai/ Laal Saag (Amaranth leaves)

#cookpadindia #nepalistyle #amaranth #saag Amaranth greens (Leaves or Saag) and grains both have many health benefits. I love having it. I can finish a plate of rice with it alone Here I have used both the types - 3 bunches of Red and 1 bunch of Green Amaranth Greens/ Saag.

Ingredient

Food ration :

2-3 servings

Cooking time :

15-20 mins
as per taste

Salt

1-2tbsp

Mustard oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat oil in a kadai, add the whole dry red chilli, green chilli and garlic and saute for a minute, when it starts browning, add a pinch of Turmeric and add the Latte Saag / Chaulai Saag (fresh or frozen) and cover it. If its frozen add the salt afterwards when it gets thawed completely and wilted, if it's fresh add salt and cover and cook till it is wilted.

* Step 2

Open the kadai and cook till the Saag/ greens are well cooked and water evaporates. You can completely dry it or keep it little watery.

* Step 3

Serve it hot with rice!
