Ingredient

mustard

cumin

1 tsp

urad dal

1 tsp

chana dal

leaves

few curry

2 tbsp

peanuts

3 tbsp

peas

1/2 tsp

turmeric

1 tsp

salt

3 cup

water

1 tsp

ghee

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Firstly, in a large kadai heat 2 tbsp oil.

Splutter ¾ tsp mustard, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp urad dal, 1 tsp chana dal, 1 dried red chilli and few curry leaves.

* Step 3

Add 2 tbsp peanuts and fry until it turns crunchy.

* Step 4

Further add ½ onion, 2 chilli and saute until the onions soften slightly.

* Step 5

Additionally, add 1 carrot, ½ potato, 3 tbsp peas and saute for a minute.

* Step 6

Now add ½ tsp turmeric and 1 tsp salt. saute on low flame until the spices turn aromatic.

Further, add 3 cup of water and get the water to a rolling boil.

* Step 8

Now keep stirring in one hand and add 1 cup rava slowly.

Make sure to keep stirring to prevent lump formation.

* Step 10

Cover and simmer for 2 minutes or until the rava absorb all the water.

Add 1 tsp ghee and 2 tbsp coriander. mix well.

* Step 12

Finally, enjoy vegetable suji Upma / uppittu with coconut chutney.
