Eggless French Toast with fruit, nuts and milk

This platter can become your kid's favourite breakfast like my kids do. An eggless, yet yummy...soft french toast can be a very filling breakfast for kids, keeping them full for a longer period of time. Do try... the recipe... #cookpadindia #frenchtoast #eggless #toc1 #week1 #kids

2-3 slices

180 ml

milk

1 pinch

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a bowl, put custard powder, salt, sugar, cinnamon powder. Mix. Now gradually add milk at room temperature and mix to make a lump free mixture. Add vanilla essence and mix. Now heat a tawa/ pan/ grill pan. Brush little butter. Keep flame slow, else butter will burn. Now take bread slices.

Take one slice, dip into the prepared mixture, carefully flip and soak the other side too. Bread must absorb liquid nicely, but extra mixture must be removed else your toast becomes soggy. So after your bread has soaked milk mixture, let it drip excess, from the corners. Put this soaked bread now, on the grill pan. Do not disturb, let it get toasted from one side. Keep slow to medium high heat.

* Step 3

Now brush some soft butter on the top side of the bread and flip carefully. Toast this side too. As it becomes good golden, you know it's done.

It will be nicely soft yet cooked. It ready... Take on to a serving plate, drizzle honey/ maple syrup/ Chocolate syrup as per your choice.
