Chuda ghasa (Prasad)
Many parts of India have many types of prasad being offered to Ganesh ji. In "Odisha", one of the popular prasad offered on Ganesh Chaturthi is "CHUDA GHASA". This is an authentic "Odia Prasad".
This is a "no cooking" prasad.
It requires minimum ingredients and is quick and easy to make.
Even "Chuda ghasa" is also offered to Lord Jagannath on "BAHUDA JATRA"

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
In a mixer jar put sugar, cardamoms and black peppercorns. Grind into a powder. Upon it add chiwda and grind coarsely.
* Step 2
Now take the coarse mixture on a wide parath/ plate. Add ghee, mix.
Then comes the most important step, that is to rub and mix ghee with the chiwda mixture.
This step leads to nicely flavours getting combined with each other.
Since we are rubbing and mixing, thus it gets the name "ghasa".
You can use one hand to rub, but it's always better to rub and mix using both the hands.
* Step 3
Now next step is to add freshly grated coconut.
This also has to be rubbed and mixed with rest of the mixture.
As it's done, you can add into it small pieces of coconut or any fruit like apple or grapes.
You can add cashews and kishmish if you like, to add some nuttiness.
But I like to keep it simple with just the basic ingredients...chuda (flattened rice), chini (sugar), nadiya (coconut), gol maricha (black pepper), ghiya (ghee) and elaichi (cardamoms).
* Step 4
So it's ready...
Now you can offer it the Ganesh ji....
* Step 5
Enjoy Ganesh Chaturthi 🙏😊
