Hungarian Bolognase

Hungarian Bolognase

Inspired by @AndreaRae Hungarian savoury beef. Makes a strong tasting bolognase to be served with pasta, good if you like spices.

Ingredient

Food ration :

3-4 servings

Cooking time :

Olive oil

cumin

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok and fry the meat for about 5 minutes or until brown.

* Step 2

Add in the onions cumin and smoked paprika, stir well to cover the meat in the paprika. Cook for 5 minutes or until the onion is pink.

* Step 3

Add all the step 3 ingredients and mix well.

* Step 4

Add a tablespoon of tomato puree if needed to thicken sauce or red wine vinegar to thin the sauce.

* Step 5

Leave to simmer on a low temperature for 50 minutes and stir occasionally. Continue to season towards the end if needed. For extra kick add a teaspoon of chilli powder.

* Step 6

Boil water for the pasta or spaghetti to coincide with the end of the main meal simmer time.
