Fresh Coconut Modak

#GCS #FoodTalking I made Modak for my Gajanana with fresh coconut and powder milk as they were available with me beside market sweets and fruits. I decided to go for Modak and it came out very well. Easy to make.

Ingredient

Cooking time :

30 minutes
4 pods

cardamom

2 Tbsp

ghee

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a grinder jar take sugar and cardamom and grind to make powder.

* Step 2

Melt ghee on a wok with medium flame.

Add grated coconut and stir continuously until there is no moisture in the coconut. Don't add any milk or water.

* Step 4

Then add powder milk and sugar powder with cardamom.

On low flame keep stirring all ingredients until the mixture starts to come together to form a ball.

* Step 6

Remove from heat, cool down and fill in Modak mould with chopped pista and make fresh coconut Modak, offer to Ganapati Bappa.
